Google has "launched" Gingerbread, which, for them, means that users of Android SDK can create virtual devices running Android 2.3, update their applications to take advantage of new API in the system, and otherwise play around. They also released an official video, explaining the highlights of Android, offering an official user guide (direct PDF link), and displayed in the advertisements of Gingerbread Nexus S style.
